Matilda Chan

Matilda is a skilled engineering manager with two decades’ experience in the aviation industry. She is adept in operations management, aircraft maintenance and commercial aviation management. As a leader at HAECO, Matilda uses her industry experience to allow others the opportunity to learn, experiment and experience new and different skills and situations that enable growth.
Recently, Cathay Pacific, HAECO Xiamen and Proudfoot initiated a major project to reduce the maintenance turnaround time for the Cathay fleet. Matilda was a key player in this project and as a true #HeadsUP leader, showed her passion for helping her people generate new ideas and overcoming challenges, demonstrating great leadership to the broader project team. Matilda’s leadership style was instrumental in driving the project’s success.
This year, Matilda has become a key leader of the HAECO Xiamen ERP upgrade project because of her experience in implementing similar systems for Cathay. Matilda knows the key success factor for this project will be its people: Prioritizing connecting with people and leveraging technology to do so, will drive positive outcomes. Not only on this project, but in the wider organisation also.
